Back to School Update
Dear ICDM Friends and Supporters:
Welcome to the 2013-14 school year. I hope you have experienced a summer of enjoyable activities and quality time with family and friends.
As ICDM enters its twenty-fourth year of ministry, our staff is anticipating an exciting and busy academic year. Here are a few highlights as we begin the new school year:
- In June this year, we sent 38 of our graduating sixth graders for the mandatory state testing required to enter high school. The results came back recently, and 37 passed. Praise the Lord!
- During the past 23 years, hundreds of students have graduated from our school in Bayonnais. Education has given them hope and a future—and opportunities they could never have dreamed or imagined. Again this year, all of our Preschool teachers are former students. Returning to teach in the same school they attended as children, they are giving back to their community.
- Our medical clinic will officially open its door to the public on August 29. Former students we supported through nursing school will staff the clinic and serve their community. This is very exciting!
ICDM is being faithful to its mission—to evangelize, educate, equip and to empower God's people for service. ICDM is changing lives one person at a time. As God blessed Abraham so that he could be a blessing to all the families of the earth (Gen. 12:3), we are asking God to bless ICDM so that we may be a blessing.
As we eagerly begin another year of continuous and exciting progress, we ask for your continuing support. Together, we are making a difference in Haiti. Thank You for all you do!
